Sunday School Classes and Children and Worship program will not meet. At 7:00 AM we will gather for a Family Sunrise Service to recall some of the stories that might have been on the minds of the women who went to anoint Jesus’ body. The service will begin in the cemetery behind the church, weather permitting, and then move into Chilton Hall of the Christian Education Building. It will be followed by a light breakfast. At our 10:10 AM worship service we will celebrate the resurrection.
A few of our members are no longer able to drive to worship on Sunday mornings. If you might be able and willing to provide transportation, it would be greatly appreciated. Please use sign-up sheet on glass cabinet or contact Linda Adams (479-7113, firstname.lastname@example.org.)

Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 7:30 PM in the church sanctuary. We will begin Lent by holding before God those places in our lives and the lives of others needing God’s mercy and mending. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated and prayers for healing and anointings will be offered. Meditation music will begin at 7:15 PM. Child care for young children will be available. All are welcome to join us.
First and Third Thursdays of the month in the church lounge, 2:00-4:00 PM. Our group will begin a new DVD study in February entitled ‘Surprised by Hope’ by N.T Wright, ‘Rethinking Heaven, the resurrection, and the mission of the church’. New participants are always welcome whether this is your first time with a group like this or you’ve done this before! Our next meetings: 3/2/17 and 3/16/17. Don’t miss this unique and exciting opportunity to fellowship and learn! This is a fun and interesting group!
Pancake Meals, just prior to the beginning of Lent, have been a Christian tradition for many years. It began as part of an effort to avoid wasting those items that would not be consumed during Lent because of the spiritual discipline of fasting. This might have included items like meats, fats, eggs, milk, leaven, etc. Pancake dinners became a tradition on Shrove Tuesday, the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, as a means of using up consumables like milk, fat, and eggs. We will continue this tradition as our Christian Education Program sponsors a Pancake Breakfast on the Sunday prior to the beginning of Lent. Come join us. A free will offering will be taken to cover costs.
THE EVENING ADULT ENRICHMENT PROGRAM WILL BEGIN A NEW STUDY BASED ON THE BOOK/MOVIE BY HARPER LEE, ‘TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD’. The four-session study will be at 7:00 PM in Room #22 of the Christian Ed. Building on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Next meeting – 2/21/17 (The room will be open at 6:30 PM for anyone who would like to bring and eat their dinner beforehand.)
Christian Ed Classes at 9:00 on Sundays!
