Adult Study Groups

EVENING ADULT ENRICHMENT GROUP AND AFTERNOON ADULT ENRICHMENT GROUP: CAN WE DIALOGUE ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES?  IS MUCH GAINED BY JUST TALKING TO THOSE WHO AGREE WITH US?  CAN THE CHURCH SET A GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT HEALTHY DIALOGUE LOOKS LIKE?  Beginning in October we are going to try as we begin a dialogue on the Refugee Crisis. These sessions will be as much about how we dialogue as the topic itself.  As part of this study everyone will be asked to be open to some well-researched, trustworthy information on the topic.  We will work on learning how to listen, ask good questions, and how to empathize with another even if we disagree.  We will also challenge ourselves by exploring some of our own prejudices that contribute to the problem.

The afternoon group meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 2:00 PM in the church lounge. First meeting is on October 3rd

The evening group meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM in Room #22 of the Christian Education Building (the room will be open at 6:30 PM for those who would like to bring and eat their dinner beforehand).  First session will take place on October 1, 2019.

PASTOR’S CLASS –3:30-5:30 PM in Room #22 of the Christian Education Building on Sunday  10/20/19. During these 3 sessions, we will learn more about our Christian faith, heritage, sacraments, and the uniqueness of the reformed tradition which our church is a part of.  This class is open to anyone who would like to know more about who we are.  Those who are preparing for a baptism and/or who are interested in becoming a member of our congregation are especially urged to attend.  To ensure we have enough hand-outs for all who are interested, please use sign-up sheet located on the glass cabinet in the Sanctuary lobby or contact Pastor Dave at 477-6030 or
